Meet the PTA

PTA President

Michelle Sinclair and her husband Brian have two kids at Beech Tree--Henry (4th grade) and Edward (2nd grade)--and their oldest, James, is in 6th grade at Glasgow Middle School. Michelle got involved with the PTA because James wanted a school Olympics, and because she gains energy from working together with parents and teachers to build great memories and learning experiences for our children and school community. She works full time in advertising at The Washington Post.

Stephanie Burchard and her husband, Colin Anderson, have two sons: Ira (Kindergarten) and Ezra (Pre-school). Her sons are her life. Her career is her life. And her life is her life. She joined the PTA because she strongly believes in high quality public education and service to the community. She holds a Ph.D. in political science, works in national security, and is an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University.

Olena Oliynyk-Dunn and her husband, Kenneth Dunn, have a daughter, Sofiya (kindergarten), at Beech Tree. Olena is joining the PTA to help build a warm, engaging learning environment and strengthen collaboration between families and teachers. She previously served with USAID and the U.S. Department of State and spent 18 years in university leadership and teaching in Ukraine. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish.

Meara (rhymes with Sarah, like Bear-a) Glover and her daughters, Elisa “Ellie” (1st grade) and Sylvie, are excited to be part of the Beech Tree community. This is Ellie’s first year at Beech Tree after spending kindergarten at a local dual-language school, and Sylvie will join for K next year. Meara has been active on the parent committee at her kids’ daycare and as a Girl Scout leader. Meara works in education as Head of School at LanguageBird, an online world language school, and has spent most of her career teaching and leading in schools. She looks forward to connecting with fellow Beech Tree families and is happy to pitch in wherever needed to support the school!

Staff Luncheon Chair

Shaine Cunningham and her husband Jack are proud parents to a kindergartener at Beech Tree and a busy preschooler. Shaine joined the PTA to help shower the school’s amazing teachers and staff with appreciation. When she’s not chasing little feet or crafting cheerful gifts for family and friends, Shaine enjoys empowering employees to grow, adapt, and thrive through her work in Learning & Development at Nestlé.

Spirit Wear Chair

Ashmita and her husband, Dipak Khanal, have two children at Beech Tree , Aayan Khanal (5th grade) and Aaryavi Khanal (2nd grade). She is joining the PTA at her son’s request, as he encouraged her to be more involved in his school after seeing her active in other activities. She looks forward to supporting the Beech Tree community and helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for students, families, and teachers. She works as a data analyst and realtor and holds a Master’s in Health Informatics from George Mason University.
